OpenServo.org are proud to announce their first robotics competition.
In order to win the amazing prizes up for grabs you need to enter your idea here for consideration by our judges.
Present your idea incorporating 3 OpenServo powered servos, with a clear outline in the submission form.
You can attach any supporting diagrams to the submission using the upload box.
Your idea can be anything, the wackier the better. You don't have to built anything, just give us the idea.

Up for grabs are the following prizes, in two categories.First Prize
- 3x OpenServo v3 boards.
- 1x 7.2v NiMH battery.
- 1x OpenSource InterFace (OSIF)
- 1x OpenSource InterFace AVR flash cable (AVR ISP 6 pin)
- 1x I2C Wiring harness for the above
Second Prize
- 1x OpenSource InterFace (OSIF)
- 1x OpenSource InterFace AVR ISP 6 pin flash cable
- 1x OpenServo V3 connector and cables. 1x OSIF 10 pin header
Rules
Your idea may be uploaded to our wiki page for all to see. You may modify the wiki page to further clarify your idea, but once the voting starts, any changes will be disallowed, and the page frozen.
Terms and Conditions
- All entries must demonstrate how exactly all 3 OpenServos will be used
- All entries must be submitted by no later than April 18, 2007, 12:00am GMT
- 5 finalists will be chosen by Barry Carter and Jay Ragsdale based on the following criteria: Creativity, Utility Value, and Overall Fun-Factor
- Finalists will be decided by no later than April 21, 2007, 12:00am GMT
- The final winner will be decided by a vote from registered OpenServo forum members
- Voting will begin on April 21, 2007, 12:00am GMT, and will close April 31, 2007, 11:59am
- The idea receiving the most votes will be declared the winner, and will be announced May 1st

Terms and Conditions
- No Entries from anyone related to the organisation of the contest allowed.
- OpenServo is not liable if you post copyrighted material.
- You may submit as many entries as you like, but we reserve the right not to post them all.
- All entries and content of those entries are copyright the submitter. We will not remove any of your rights or in any way cheat you. What you post is yours, but by submitting you give us express permission to use those submissions as we please.
- Any entry must have the work under a recognised OSDL license, preferably GPL BSD or MIT
- We may request you send us a picture of yourself wearing a top hat, while riding a unicycle, but the chances are very slim
- This is all very non serious, and should be taken with a healthy dose of humour.
- The prizes are real, and you will be sent them. Items given are gifts in good faith. Please treat it as such.
